AI PCs will enter the replacement period, boosting the growth of PC brand factory shipments

Research agency TrendForce recently pointed out that from the production capacity of mature process foundries, it is predicted that in 2025, shipments of end points such as smartphones, PC/laptops, servers (including general-purpose and AI servers) are expected to resume annual growth; PC brands Asus, Acer and other AI PC manufacturers are expected to benefit. In addition, research firm Canalys pointed out that with the arrival of Windows 11 upgrades and the launch of the latest generation of AI PC processors by Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm, old PCs will be phased out, and shipments are expected to achieve moderate growth in the fourth quarter. Asus expects that AI PCs will enter an explosive period between 2025 and 2026, accounting for 60% of overall PC shipments in 2026. The company said that it has already taken the lead in the United States, Canada, Australia and other markets, with a market share of AI PC products exceeding 20%, and aims to achieve 25%. Acer is optimistic about the business opportunities in the fourth quarter, saying that the computer boom in the second half of the year has improved compared with the first half of the year. The company's AI PC product line is relatively complete, and it is expected to outperform the market. However, AI PCs are currently biased towards the creator market, and the consumer market still needs time. Previously, the supply chain mentioned that the unit price of AI PCs will be relatively high, but now there are also lower-priced models, coupled with the increase in various application services, and a combination of software and hardware, which should stimulate a certain trend of replacement. In terms of hardware, processor overlord Intel recently launched the Intel Core Ultra 200V series processor, which is billed as the most efficient x86 architecture computing platform ever. The overall platform computing power of this series of processors is as high as 120 TOPS for CPU, GPU and NPU. In addition, the company also launched the Intel Core Ultra 200S series processor, which is its first AI PC desktop processor.
